At the beginning of the year all our learners participate in the Afrikaans Redenaars (equivalent for English Public Speaking) in the classes. At the end of the week, all the learners who have more than 80% participate in the Afrikaans Redenaars Gala-evening in the auditorium in front of an audience consisting of parents, class friends and teachers and a panel of adjudicators.
Learners who receive 80+% at this event, goes through to the Radikale Redenaars to participate on District-/Provincial and/or National Level.
In the past we have had many learners participating at the Radikale Redenaars who received very good results and feedback.
This is compulsory in the classes and we do encourage learners to partake in this as it teaches them excellent talking and speaking skills for the future when they will one day have to stand up and talk in front of others, either in the workplace or in public.
